Key Club is a service-based group sponsored by Kiwanis International. CCS has some very exciting volunteer opportunities where our high school students are able to serve their school and greater community. Some examples are See You at the Pole, Kids Against Hunger, planning the Homecoming Banquet, Red Cross Blood Drives, Operation Christmas Child, trick or treating for UNICEF, and food drives for our local food banks.
Our club meets tentatively on the 2nd Friday of each month during 7th hour to discuss upcoming events that we have planned and places that we want to volunteer our time.
Students interested in joining Key Club should know what is expected of them as members. Each Key Club member is expected to complete 50 hours of community service each year. The club dues are $25 per member. This is due by October 15. Dues include the cost of a Key Club T-shirt and dues that we forward to Kiwanis International. Members are also expected to participate in as many planned key Club events as possible. This is a fun way to connect with many of our high school students and it looks great on college applications and scholarships!
