SUMMER CARE REGISTRATION **DEADLINE EXTENDED**

Summer care is available starting June 1 for students age 3 to 12, staffed by Aly Mancilla and Darci VanValkenberg. Please register by next Friday, May 22 to guarantee a spot at https://www.calhounchristian.org/ccs-families/summer-care.cfm.

BIGGBY FUNDRAISER FOR MISSIONS

Sip and Serve with the Sophomore and Junior classes as they partner with Biggby on Friday, May 15. 10% off all sales from that day will be donated to our missions' fund. Swing by before school, for an afternoon pick up, or late night treat to the Biggby near the school at 1101 W Columbia Ave, Battle Creek.

May 27-28 – HS Finals, half day 11:30am dismissal for HS only

May 28 – 2nd-4th Field Trip

May 29 – LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!! Half day, 11:30am dismissal for all

LOST AND FOUND

Be sure to check the lost and found areas before the end of school.  Anything left remaining will be donated to charity the week after school ends.  

MEDICATION

Please be sure to stop by the office and pick up any medication that belongs to your student. Any meds left at the end of the year will be properly disposed of.

TEXAS ROADHOUSE FUNDRAISER FOR ROBOTICS

Tuesday, May 26, visit Texas Roadhouse on Beckley Road and present this flyer (Dine In or Dine Out) to donate 10% to the Robotics Club.  

CCS Yard Signs  

We want to get the word about CCS out into the community, and need your help! The CCS Development Committee commissioned yard signs for our families in order to get the word out about our school. They are available for pickup in the office.

NEW: Breakfast at CCS

CCS students now have the option to pick up breakfast at school! Served before school from 7:30-7:40am in the CCS Kitchen, breakfast will include an entree (such as a muffin, granola bar, cereal, etc), 2 pieces of fruit, and milk. The cost is $1.60 per meal, or for those on the reduced/free list, $0.30 for reduced, $0 for free. Please tell your children if you do not want them to pick up breakfast as we will be charging families in FACTS for the meals their children come to get in the mornings (this is different from our lunch program). Please direct questions to Michelle Wilson.

CCS BOARD MEMBERS NEEDED

FIELD DAY 2026

Volunteer to help at the elementary FIELD DAY May 27.  There are two time frames to assist: 8:00 am-11:30 am and  11:45 pm – 2:45 pm. You may also choose to volunteer for the entire day. Sign up will close May 18.

VOLUNTEER HOURS DUE MAY 29

As a reminder, 20 hours of service must be logged by the last day of school (May 29) or you will receive a bill for $12.50 per hour unserved in June. These service hours help keep our costs down and we appreciate your help greatly! We are always in need of volunteers for Lunch, Popcorn, and Sports (contact Don Hughes for more info about taking tickets at soccer games, etc). Hours need to be logged in the FACTS Family Portal, under Family, then Family Home, and then click the "Add+" button under your name to enter service hours.

Popsicles on the Playground

If you have a preschooler this coming fall, please join us on Thursday, June 9 at 6:30pm on the preschool playground for a "cool" hangout with other preschool families as we gear up for the 2026-2027 school year. Feel free to invite or bring other parents of preschool-aged children as we also use this as a way to introduce the community to our CCS Preschool. There will also be another popsicle event on August 4, same time!
