NEW – SUBMIT ABSENCES ONLINE!
If your child will be absent or late for any reason, we need a notification from parents to the office. You now have 3 options to submit your notification: via phone (269-965-5560), email (office@calhounchristian.org) or by submitting it on our website under CCS Families > Absence Notification. You will need to log in with your FACTS Family Portal credentials to submit. If your child will be absent for more than 1 day, we also have an Expected Absence form that can be used to gather expected classwork from teachers.
HOT LUNCH ORDERS OPEN
December's lunch orders are due November 19. Log into the FACTS Family Portal, click on Student, then Lunch, then Create Web Order to submit your order. If you want to help serve lunch, sign up for a slot on our Sign Up Genius!

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY
Wednesday, November 26 our school will be hosting our annual Grandparents' Day from 10am-11:15am. Check out the information attached.

LEGO EXPLORE AND CHALLENGE GROUPS
Students participating in our competition on December 6th must be registered to attend. Contact Mr. Rome at Robert.Rome@calhounchristian.org. Mr. Rome's group, the Challenge group, will meet after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They are meeting on Saturday mornings from 9 to 12 as well. Students are allowed to bring snacks to these extra meetings. Mrs. Cropsey will be contacting her group, the Explorers, about extra practices if needed.
The students who meet with Mrs. Rome on Tuesday’s for free build in the cafeteria will not meet the week of Thanksgiving. No LEGO club in the cafeteria on Tuesday, November 25. We will be preparing for Grandparents' Day on Wednesday, November 26.
BOOK FAIR
I:55 Book Fair is coming to CCS. Starting November 17 from 2:45 pm until 3:30 pm each day until Grandparents’ Day on November 26 stop by the library and shop the book fair! On Grandparents' Day, the book fair will be open 10:00 am – until 11:30 am.
2025 GIFT GUIDE
The Christmas countdown is on! The PIT Crew has compiled a list of all the staff's favorite things. Check it out to see favorite stores, restaurants, coffee drinks, and treats of all our hard working staff. We hope this will help you with your Christmas shopping. Look for the document attached to this email. Be sure to check the RaiseRight binder in the office- it is stocked with gift cards and makes for easy one-stop shopping!
RAISERIGHT FOR THE HOLIDAYS
As we approach the holiday season we wanted to make sure all families are aware that we have many gift cards for purchase in the office for stocking stuffers, teacher gifts (some of their favorites), and many more that you can special order for pickup at the school or delivery to your home.

YEARBOOK CLASS 2nd SEMESTER

PRESCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
Students should wear dressy clothes in Christmas colors (no torn jeans or old shoes) and bring a hat, scarf (K-4 ONLY), and mittens or gloves as props for the program.
K-4 students are expected to be in their classrooms by 5:45. (Preschool parents may enter through the preschool doors.) Parents will be asked to keep their coats with them. The program starts at 6. There will be a reception with cookies and punch following the program. We need cookies! We have some traditional cookie recipes available if you need them.
