MIDDLE SCHOOL HAPPENINGS
Thursday, December 18 – Gingerbread Houses, Pizza, & Movie Day
Students will take part in a friendly house competition to see who can build the best gingerbread house. Each student will be responsible for bringing a specific supply item for their group. These assignments will be given on December 12, and a follow-up email will be sent to let you know what your child should bring.
After the competition, students will enjoy a pizza lunch followed by a movie in the chapel. We’ll be watching The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever. We are asking each student to bring $5 to cover the cost of pizza.
Friday, December 19 – Bowling at Bowlero Lanes
We are excited to bring back a CCS Middle School tradition—bowling! Students are invited to join us for a morning of fun at Bowlero Lanes. The cost is $10 per student.
Please note: This trip is contingent on academic responsibility. Students must have all missing assignments completed and turned in by Wednesday, December 17 in order to participate.
Important: All money and gingerbread house supplies are due no later than Wednesday, December 17.
SCENTSY FUNDRAISER
The Alpha-Bots Robotics team and members of Lego Clubs invite you to support them through a Scentsy Fundraiser going on now through December 15. We will receive 25% of all sales. Follow the link or QR code to place your order today.

SEVERE WEATHER AND SCHOOL CLOSINGS
In the event of emergency situations, a tornado watch or warning, severe weather or snow days, school closing information will be announced on local television stations (WOOD-TV8 and WWMT 3) as early in the morning as possible. A school email will be sent in addition to a text and a post on Facebook.
Please understand that it is not always easy to make the call, especially if snow starts later in the morning. (Sometimes hindsight is 20/20.) We will do our best to make the decision we believe to be safe and in the best interest of the education of our students and we will communicate as quickly as possible. Parents always have the choice to have their children stay home or come to school late if they feel the conditions around their home are unsafe. Those absences or tardies will be excused.
