HOT LUNCH ORDERS OPEN

October Lunch Orders due Sept 19: October's hot lunch orders are open and need to be placed by September 19. Log into the FACTS Family Portal, click on Student, then Lunch, then Create Web Order to submit your order (yes, even free lunch needs to be placed). If you need to apply for a free/reduced lunch, complete this application through Lakeview (our lunch vendor). If you want to help serve lunch, sign up for a slot on our Sign Up Genius!

HARVEST PARTY SEPTEMBER 19*

Come for fun, food, and fellowship with other CCS families on Friday, September 19 at 6 pm. 
Location: 14510 South M 37 Highway, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
Bring: lawn chairs and a dish to pass per family – suggestions are PK-3rd bring a main dish, 4th-8th bring a side, and 9th-12th bring dessert. 
Provided: plates, utensils, cups, and drinks
Fun things to do: bonfire, volleyball, kickball, 9 square, and much more!
*Rain Date = September 20

MIDDLE SCHOOL COMMUNITY SERVICE

All middle school classes will be participating in community service projects Friday, September 19.  Please see your student’s teacher for more information.  

SYATP – September 24 – “AWE”

Our school will be participating in See You At The Pole on September 24, 2025.  This will be a time of student-led prayer for our school, nation and world.  The 2025 theme verse is “I have heard all about you, Lord. I am filled with awe by your amazing works.” Habakkuk 3:2a

MOTHER SON EVENT

Join us on October 4th from 3:30-5pm for fun games, friendly competition, and treats at the CCS PRO BOWL GAMES – a Mother and Son event!  The event will take place in the CCS cafeteria and tickets are on sale in the office until September 30th. The cost is $25 per mom/son(s).  See you there!! *See attached flier for more details.

LOST AND FOUND

Please be sure to check all the lost and found areas for your student’s belongings. We will be donating everything at the end of each quarter

CRC/CHAPERONE AGREEMENT

If you have not filled out a CRC and Chaperone agreement, you may still do so.  This will allow you to volunteer at the school to fulfill your Family Service hours.  Simply, fill out the forms completely and bring your driver’s license to the office.  Hard copies of the form can also be picked up in the office.  

ELEMENTARY FIELD TRIP – Gull Meadows    

All students in Kindergarten through 4th grade will visit Gull Meadows Farm on Friday, September 19 – cost is $9.00 per person and drivers are needed but background check paperwork needs to be completed 2 weeks in advance. Please look for information from your child's teacher regarding drivers and times. Due to the large number of students, we will be having two different touring times: K and 1st are leaving at 10am and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th will be leaving at 11am. All students will need a sack lunch – no hot lunch will be available to them on the field trip that day. Please do not send in the field trip fee until you receive the info sheet. Any questions? LEGO/ROBOTICS CLUBS

Lego Club began this week and will run weekly on Tuesdays from 3-4pm. Some days may be added closer to Robotics Events:
•    Grades 1-3 - Explore Group: Meet in the cafeteria at 2:40
•    Grades 4-6 - Challenge Group: Meet in Mr. Rome’s room at 2:55.
Students may bring a snack. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Cropsey or Mr. Rome. Pickup will be out the front door at 4:00pm.

MOUSE TRAP

Our 8th-12th grade students will be performing "Mouse Trap," a whodunit murder mystery, on October 3rd and 4th at 7pm in the chapel.  Information about purchasing tickets will be coming soon. Mark your calendars to watch these kids in action!

YEARBOOK CLASS 2nd SEMESTER

We would greatly appreciate receiving pictures you take of our CCS students in action during various school sponsored events!  This will help ensure our hard-working yearbook students get ahead start before class starts next semester.
