UPDATE ON THE GIVE AND GROW APPEAL

We are deeply grateful for the continued prayers and generous support of our community as we continue with the Annual Appeal. We are having a successful fundraising campaign this year and continuing to receive envelopes. If you still have envelopes at home, continue to give those out to friends or family that may be interested in partnering with our mission to provide Christ centered education in our community. The matching of all funds raised will continue through the end of January (1/31/26), so there is still time to have donations go twice as far!

So far, we have raised just over $37,400 for the campaign to go towards scholarships and capital needs! We have a goal of raising $60,000, so we are over halfway there. We are incredibly grateful for each donor and their support of our school.

For the class competition with envelopes, these are the current classes that are in the lead:

PreK-1st : Mrs. Lootens's class

2nd - 4th : Mrs. Scramlin's class

5th-8th : Ms. Jex's class

9th-12th : Mrs. Moser's class (Juniors)

AUCTION DONATIONS

The auction is coming up quickly on Friday, March 13.  Save the date and make plans to attend! It is a fun night for our school community.  Ticket sales will begin soon.  Currently, the auction committee is collecting donations for our live and silent auctions.  This is a huge part of the auction and we are asking each family to please provide at least one item to our event. Parents, families, local community businesses and friends provide some of the best and most creative donations to the auction. Donations could include gift certificates, themed baskets, tickets to events, or even a trip! You do not have to purchase these items for donation. We ask that you ask your family, friends & fellow business owners to help our school with a donation, all which are tax deductible. Donation forms, along with request letters, are available in the school’s main office.  All donations are due to the main office on or before Wednesday, February 25.

SEVERE WEATHER AND SCHOOL CLOSINGS

In the event of emergency situations, a tornado watch or warning, severe weather or snow days, school closing information will be announced on local television stations (WOOD-TV8 and WWMT 3) as early in the morning as possible. A school email will be sent in addition to a text and a post on Facebook .

Please understand that it is not always easy to make the call, especially if snow starts later in the morning.  (Sometimes hindsight is 20/20.)  We will do our best to make the decision we believe to be safe and in the best interest of the education of our students and we will communicate as quickly as possible.  Parents always have the choice to have their children stay home or come to school late if they feel the conditions around their home are unsafe.  Those absences or tardies will be excused.

ELEMENTARY COMMUNITY SERVICE

The Downtown Church serves Battle Creek as the “hands and feet” of Jesus.  We are partnering with them the month of January, 2026.
