Welcome!

We are very pleased that you and your family are considering Calhoun Christian School, where we believe a Christian education is an excellent choice for educating our children.  Here, they will mature according to God's plan into intelligent, well-rounded adults who know the meaning of kindness, generosity, and service.

At CCS we teach a Biblical worldview that stems from a natural curiosity about the origins and purpose of the world around us.  We wonder where the world came from, how it operates, and where it is going.  Our teachers put learning in the context of God's character and purpose. Students learn that there is a connection between the classes they are required to take and their faith.  God's eternal plan is reflected and integrated into every subject, from math and science to physical education and art.  Students develop a mindset that includes God in the way they view life and the world around them.

We believe Calhoun Christian School has the "cream of the crop" when it comes to our staff.  Their love for teaching, their value for academic excellence, and their walk with Christ are evident as they help train our children both in school and out.  It is common to see members of our staff staying after school to mentor or tutor a student; or to see them supporting "their" kids at sporting events or dance recitals.  It is this kind of dedication that makes us stand our academically, spiritually, and personally.

Parents, family, and church each play an integral part in building a Christ-centered education for our students.  Children nurtured in this type of partnership will see the consistency of God's truth at work in all aspects of our lives; this will become a passion carried into adulthood and handed down throughout the generations.

Choosing the right school for you child is a big decision.  Let us partner with you in praying for the right course for your family as we search our hearts and gorlify God as he lays out the path before us.
